Greetings players! My name is Jason, but I also go under the aliases TSApproved and Jdotson. I am the sole owner and creator of the JdotGames "company." I created JdotGames to have a base to tie all of my projects to. Not sure what to expect from JdotGames? Here's a brief history of my work:

Fahrlend: Corruption [2015 - June 2016]

Fahrlend corruption

My work began with the development of a Legend of Zelda-inspired single-player RPG adventure called Fahrlend: Corruption. I began development of the map all the way back in late 2015, and the map released privately on June 26, 2016 for Minecraft Version 1.10.2.

Fahrlend: Corruption is no longer downloadable. See Fahrlend: Corruption (Definitive Edition) to download the game.

Fahrlend: Corruption (Definitive Edition) [2018 - December 2019]

Fcdecoverart

After a massive command block overhaul for Minecraft 1.12+, I decided to revisit Fahrlend: Corruption and release it to the public on planetminecraft.com. With bug fixes and new additions, I finished Fahrlend: Corruption (Definitive Edition) on January 17, 2019. After discovering my love for working on these types of projects, I decided that it was only right to share it with a community, and so I officially released it to the public on planetminecraft.com on December 26, 2019. I was really excited by the reception, and eager to create more maps for Minecraft.

Fahrlend: Invasion [February 2019 - December 2019]

Excited by the release of Fahrlend: Corruption (Definitive Edition), I continued to work and develop a new extension of the Fahrlend series. I wanted the next game to immediately with up the gameplay style to feel unique from the first. Development concluded on June 13, 2019, and Fahrlend: Invasion officially released to the public on planetminecraft.com on December 26, 2019. The map almost doubled the amount of downloads of the first Fahrlend adventure released on the site, so I was extremely excited.

Scourge Brawl [June 2019 - August 2020]

After losing interest in the development of Fahrlend games, and needing to take a break, I took a turn into the world of card games. This time, I would make an in-person game with cards that could be printed right off the internet for use at home by anyone! The game, while I enjoyed developing it, was hard to advertise, and therefore, I temporarily ceased updates for the game starting January 14, 2021, with the last update being August 10, 2020. Scourge Brawl helped me learn to appreciate sites that advertise your creations for free, such as planetminecraft.com, and also taught me how to create card games and other in-person style games.

War of Champions [May 28 2020 - Present Day]

Woc logo-01

I can't believe it will be almost a year since War of Champions was first announced. My passion project, and what has brought upon my love for game design, War of Champions is a Minecraft MOBA inspired by the likes of League of Legends, DOTA 2, etc. As of writing this, it has been patched multiple times, been released on over 5 different Minecraft map advertising sites, and amassed around 3,000 downloads total. Today, you can download War of Champions on most Minecraft map advertising sites!

Last Stand [May 2021 - Present Day]

As a final project for my Introduction to Game Development class, I redesigned the Scourge Brawl card game into an easier to understand game using the principles I learned in class. Last Stand uses the same basic gameplay designs that Scourge Brawl did but fine tunes them.

Adventures in Fahrlend [October 2021]

AiF

As a rebirth to the series, Adventures in Fahrlend is a 2-dimensional Legend of Zelda-inspired take on the action-adventure Fahrlend series. The result was the most successful action-adventure Fahrlend game ever, amassing just under 1,000 total downloads across three major sites in only a week. Being able to talk with my fans has been such a pleasure, and it has motivated me to continue expanding the Fahrlend series.

AMULET [November 2021 - Present Day]

AMULET Logo

As a final project for my Writing for Games course, I produced the boss rush-style battler card game AMULET to tell the story of two best friends and their adventures reassembling the Amulet Chain in the Obsidian Mines. The print and play card game is currently available exclusively on this website, however I plan on releasing it on other sites such as itch.io in the future.
